Welcome to our online training for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) youth Training accredited by MHFA England and delivered by B MINDFUL (Creative, Sport & Leisure).

The course consists of 4 sessions which will be delivered online and spread across 2 weeks.

Course breakdown;
Session 1 – What is Mental Health?
Session 2 – Depression and anxiety
Session 3 – Psychosis
Session 4 – Self harm and Eating disorders

Topics also covered include, ALGEE, Stigma and discrimination and being a Mental Health First Aider.

Each session will be between 2-3 hours long and will be delivered on the dates listed below in your chosen group.

Once you have signed up to a course then you will be required to complete each of the 4 sections with the group you join.

Unfortunately, if you miss a session or more than 15 minutes of a session you will be unable to complete the course.

Due to the nature of the course and its content MHFA do not allow candidates to transfer to another group part way through a course to complete any sessions missed.

Your instructor will contact you once you have completed this ‘sign up’ form with details of prior learning that are to be completed before each session begins.

The prior learning consists of videos, independent reading and activities and should take up to 2 hours (maximum per session). You will need to refer to your manual and workbook and these will be sent to the postal address given at ‘sign up’.

Self-care prompt: please note the course covers sensitive subject matter, case studies and topics throughout which include discussing suicide and self-harm.
